About and method
What ZenBodyLove is
ZenBodyLove is your teacher and adviser for a healthy, strong and powerful body. We set the latest research and the wisdom of the traditions side by side, and we always show you which is which.
How a claim gets here
- We research each topic from primary sources, and every source carries a verbatim quote that supports, opposes or adds context to the claim.
- An independent skeptic checks each claim against its sources.
- A human approves each claim before it is published.
- Every month we re-check published topics against new PubMed reviews and trials.
How to read the marks
Certainty
Research claims carry a certainty grade. It says how likely further research is to change the finding.
- High certainty
- Further research is very unlikely to change this.
- Moderate certainty
- Further research may change the size of the effect.
- Low certainty
- Further research is likely to change this.
- Very low certainty
- This is uncertain; treat it as a lead, not a finding.
Safety
Every claim carries a safety mark: a coloured circle with words beside it, so colour is never the only signal.
- No known concerns at usual amounts
- Take care: see the safety note
- Caution: see the safety note
The tradition's frame
A traditional claim states what was observed or tested and shows the tradition's own explanation separately, under “The tradition's frame”. Traditional claims carry no certainty grade: the grade describes research evidence, and the frame is reported as the tradition holds it, not as a finding.
Our values and your choice
We start vegan, organic, ethical and sustainable by default, and you choose the diet and the approaches that are right for you
“we will default to vegan, organic, ethical and sustainable, but always allow the user to choose the preference for diets and approaches.”
